Es gibt eine neue Challenge bei The Sketchy Challenge - und das ist der neue Sketch:

There is a new challenge at The Sketchy Challenge - and this is our new sketch:

Ich habe danach eine Karte zur goldenen Konfirmation meiner Mutter gemacht. Sie liebt Sarah Kay und darum habe ich dieses Motiv gewählt, dem Anlass passend mit einem goldenen Kleid coloriert. Dafür habe ich neben Copics noch goldfarbenen Spica Pen darüber gegeben. Und die Kombination mit blau und weiß hat mir prima gefallen.
Für den Spruch habe ich den Konfirmations-Siegelstempel umgewandelt.

I used it to make a card for my mom's golden confirmation. She adores Sarah Kay and that's why I picked this image. Making it match the occasion I colored her dress in gold. Therefor I did not only use Copics but also some golden Spica Pen. And I liked the combination of gold with blue and white.

Ist sie nicht süß? Und sie hat mich ganz spontan dazu inspiriert, statt einer Karte ein Namensschildchen zu machen. Wer kennt sie nicht, die gefaleteten DinA4 Blätter mit Namen, die in den ersten Wochen auf jedem Tisch im Klassenzimmer stehen, immer im Weg, ständig am Umfallen und nach dem Stundenwechsel sind sie auf einmal verschwunden. Da ist ein Namensschild doch viel stylischer und praktischer! Das Grundgerüst ist mit Spellbinder's ausgestanzt, auf der Rückseite ist eine Sicherheitsnadel angebracht. Da kann die Schule beginnen!

Isn't she cute? And when I looked at her I got the idea of making a name tag instead a card. I so remember these folded DinA4 papers that we wrote our names on and that has been displayed on the school desks for the first weeks - taking up space, falling all the time and after a break sometimes they had disappeared. I really thing a name tag is not only way more in style but also easier to use. The base is cut from cardstock using a Spellbinder's die, on the backside I glued down a safety pin. Now we're ready for school!

Ich habe hier eine der süßen Feen von Sugar Nellie verwendet. Irgendwie ist diese Woche Sugar-Nellie-Woche auf meinem Blog. LOL Aber ich war um die Feen schon ewig herumgeschlichen und vor kurzem habe ich mir dann endlich 3 bestellt. Es werden aber sicher nicht die letzten gewesen sein! Passend zur Farbvorgabe habe ich der Kleinen sogar pinkfarbene Haare gegeben... Und Ihren Freund den Frosch finde ich einfach zu süß!

I used one of the cute fairys by Sugar Nellie. Seems like this is a Sugar-Nellie-Only-Week on my blog. LOL But I was looking at these fairies since quite a while and few days ago I went ahead and ordered 3. Well, I think those won't be the last ones! Matching the giving colors I also used pink for her hair.... And her friend the little froggy is just too cute!

Ich bin sicher, dass Ihr uns zustimmt - die Motive, die wir Euch bisher zeigen durften, sind einfach zu süß. Und auch dieses Motiv ist wieder zu schön. Oh, was haben wir früher Gänseblümchen-Ketten geflochten. Einmal quer durch den großen Garten und beim Nachbarn gings weiter...

I am sure you agree with us - those images we were able to show so far are just cute. And even this image is too darling. Oh, we made so many daisy chains when we were kids. And they were huge - once across our big garden and then we had to go on in the neighbour's garden....

Hier auf meiner Karte habe ich auch 3 der neuen Magnolia-Dies benutzt: die Blüten-Ecke (leider derzeit ausverkauft), den Wave-Tag und die Summer Foliage.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Es ist Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy - und diesmal heißt es "add some metal". Verwendet also irgendwas aus Metall...

Hello dear friends!

It's time for a new challenge over at Whiff Of Joy - and this week we want you to "add some metal". 

 

Ich habe mich entschieden, eine kleine Metalldose zu verzieren. Oh Mann, ist die schwer zu fotografieren, auch noch auf schwarzem Hintergrund... Ich hoffe, man kann etwas erkennen.

Oben auf der Dose habe ich den Mini-Henry mit Herz benutzt. Viel Platz für Deko war nicht und da die Dose in die Handtasche soll, mußte ich mich eh etwas zurückhalten. Sonst sieht sie nach einer Woche total ramponiert aus. Aber für ein paar Röschen und eine Ranke hat es doch gereicht. Und um den Deckel der Dose habe ich noch etwas Schnur gebunden, an die ich noch einen Herz-Charm befestigt habe.

I decided to decorate a little tin box. Oh boy, these are hard to take a picture of, the more if you have a black underground... I hope you're able to see anything.

On top of the box I used the cute mini Henry with heart. There wasn't much room for decoration and since I want to put this tin in my handbag I had to reduce decoration or the box would look totally destroid within a week. But there was room for a few roses and some leaves. Around the lid I wrapped some twine to which I knot a heart charm.

Es gelten die gleichen Regeln wie gestern, nur Start und Ziel sind diesmal anders. Oh, und es könnte sich lohnen, auf jedem Blog ein paar nette Worte bzw. Eure Meinung zum Stempel abzugeben... ;)

Das Motiv, das wir Euch heute präsentieren dürfen, heißt "Cat Sitting". Es wird, zusammen mit allen anderen neuen Motiven, ab Freitag bei Funkykits erhältlich sein.

The image we are going to showcase today is named Cat Sitting. This and all the other new stamps will be available friday at Funkykits.

Ich habe das Motiv verwendet, um einen Türhänger zu machen. Do not disturb - was gibt es schöneres, als mit einer schnurrenden Katze auf dem Bauch in den Tag hinein zu träumen...? Auf diesem Türhänger konnte ich auch endlich mal den Pfoten- und den Fischgräten-Tag verwenden, die mit eine Die geschnitten sind. Und die ausgeschnittene Fischgräte habe ich gleich unten noch als Deko mit angebracht.

I used this image ot make a door hanger. Do not disturb - can there be anything better than having a purring cat lying on your belly and then dream the day away...? I also finally used those tag dies with the paw and the fish on this hanger. The cut out fish has been used as well, next to the paw.

Das Motiv, das wir Euch heute zeigen möchten, heißt Telltale.

The image we are going to present you today is called Telltale.

Wenn ich es ansehe, kommen mir sofort zig Ideen, für die dieses süße Motiv passen würde. Für diese Karte habe ich den Text "a little bird told me" - ein Vögelchen hat mir gezwitschert - genommen. Das kann dann eine Geburtstagskarte sein, oder eine Glückwunschekarte zu einer anderen Gelegenheit, die vielleicht nicht so groß gefeiert wird...
Farblich bin ich schon ganz im Sommer angekommen: rosa, weiß, braun und etwas blau. Und das Vogelhäuschen war dann die ideale Ergänzung zum Motiv.

When I look at this image there are so many ideas popping up in my mind what I could use this image for. For today's card I went with "a little bird told me". And so this could be a birthday card or a card for any other occasion that might not be celebrated that much...
Colorwise I reached summer already: pink, white, brown and some blue. And the bird house was the perfect finish to go with this image.

Also this week starts with a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. And this week our theme is "anything goes".

Ich habe bei Nadell das Magnolia-Tag in groß gesehen und fand die Idee so klasse, dass ich das auch gleich probieren wollte. Und ich habe mir eine Vatertagskarte dazu ausgesucht. Der süße Stempel ist von Lili of the Valley und liegt schon seitdem er rauskam unbenutzt herum. Und die kleinen Werkzeug-Dies passen doch super dazu. Oben am Tag ist noch ein Love-Charm angebracht.

I saw Nadell's big heart shaped tag and had to try one myself. And I decided to make a father's day card. The cute image is by Lili of the Valley and is lying around without being inked up since the day I bought it... Those tools dies are perfect with this image. At the top of the tag I added a round charm that has a heart on one side and the word love on the other.

Es gibt wieder eine neue Ausgabe für das Stempeleinmaleins, und diesmal dreht sich alles um die "free standing pop up card".

We have a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins and this week it's all about the free standing pop up card.

Letztes Wochenende hatten wir Basteltreffen und ich durfte die Distress Marker von Helga ausprobieren. Ich war sehr skeptisch, denn mit Distress Inks, egal ob Kissen oder Reinker, komme ich ja so überhaupt nicht zurecht. Naja, um es kurz zu machen - das Set ist bestellt... Ich möchte meinen Copics nicht untreu werden, aber so zur Abwechslung zwischendrin sind die Stifte bestimmt prima und mit dem Ergebnis bin ich auch zufrieden. Fürs erste Mal...
Die Tilda ist einer der zwei neuen Specials: Bright Tilda. Der Text ist von Stampin'Up.

Last weekend we had a get together of some crafters and there I was able to test Helga's Distress Markers. I didn't expect too much since I so can not work with Distress Inks, no matter if it's the ink pads or the reinkers. But well - after trying them I had to order that set... Not that I want to stop using my Copics but just for a change every now and then those markers for sure are great. And I am quite pleased with the result - I mean, it was my first attempt...
This Tilda is one of the two new special stamps: Bright Tilda, saying is by Stampin'Up.

Heute darf ich ein Tutorial auf dem Whiff Of Joy Inspiration Blog zeigen - und ich habe mich entschieden, eine Double Slider Card zu machen.

It's my turn to write up a post over at the Whiff Of Joy Inspiration blog - and I decided to make a Double Slider Card.

Die Karte sieht auf den ersten Blick ganz normal aus:
At the first sight the cards look quite normal:

Aber die Karte läßt sich nicht öffnen. Der Text - oder auch ein weiteres Motiv - kommt zum Vorschein, wenn man an dem kleinen Tab oben zieht:

But you can't open this card. The text - or an additonal image - shows up if you pull the tab on top of the card:

Ich habe Uru mit Vogel verwendet. Wo ist der Vogel, fragt Ihr? Den habe ich wie schon öfter nicht mitgestempelt sondern ihn durch ein zum Thema passendes Motiv ersetzt, hier einen Stern. Und auch die Blätter, die von der Mütze baumeln, wurden duch einen Stern ersetzt.

I used Uru with Bird. Where's the bird, you might ask. Like a few times before I didn't ink it up but replaced it with a little image matching the theme of my card, in this case a star. I did the same with the Holly Leaves hanging from his hat.
